As a trained physician, he has been working on artificial intelligence and text mining in the healthcare sector for over 20 years and is passionately committed to how these technologies can improve the lives of patients.
His long commercial and scientific experience is reflected in numerous lectures, publications and awards.
Kornél Markó is responsible for finance, human resources and activities in the Life Science sector. He has a PhD in computational linguist and has been leading the working group on the development of Averbis core components for several years.
Thanks to his many years of experience in the field of semantic search technologies, his specialist knowledge is internationally recognized and recorded in numerous publications. His career brought him diverse experience in the area of development, implementation and sales of solutions.
As Chief Product Officer (CPO), Christian Gaege is responsible for product-related activities at Averbis. He’s a technology leader with +15 years of experience and has held numerous technical roles in software and product development.
Christian started his career as a software engineer in IBM’s Silicon Valley Lab and later with IBM Germany, before joining Averbis in 2013. He holds degrees in computer science with focus on software application architectures, and in business information systems.
Patrick Oestringer is Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) and responsible for the holistic management of sales, marketing and service activities as well as the strategic development of new business areas. With an experience of more than 16 years, he has specialized in the topic of digitalization in healthcare, especially in the collection and processing of healthcare data.
During his professional career, he has already held various leading positions in the health tech industry. His focus is on successfully marketing innovative solutions with scalable business models. In doing so, he has set himself the goal of driving the industry forward and creating tangible added value for healthcare through pioneering technologies.
As Head of IT, Jan Paetzold is responsible for the continuous development and operation of information technology at Averbis. In addition, he also oversees the management of compliance issues.
With over 20 years of professional experience, including as a research position in the field of medical informatics and radiology, he has extensive knowledge regarding the development and application of information technology.
Jan has been with Averbis from the very beginning and was initially actively involved in the architectural design and development of our software.
Peter is a luminary in the field of text mining and machine learning and has been involved with artificial intelligence scientifically and commercially for over 15 years. At Averbis, he is responsible for the strategic direction and evolution of our NLP stack.
He is driven by excellence and innovation, constantly looking how to improve all aspects of our text mining software and development processes.
