Averbis automates work process at the European Patent Office in The Hague
Freiburg, Germany – 19. November 2014 – Averbis, leading provider in text analytics and automated classification of documents, announced today that they have been chosen by the European Patent Office (EPO) in Munich/The Hague for the pre-classification of incoming applications and re-classification of existing classification schemes.
The cooperation is planned for at least 3 years, during which time various services will be provided with the aim of automatically assigning patent applications to the right departments and automatically allocating existing patents with new CPC codes.
Averbis Patent Analytics is a unique and efficient analytics software which enables users to automatically process and categorize vast amounts of texts. The software is based on complex linguistic and semantic analyses, as well as statistically-based machine learning processes. The software was developed together with intellectual property (IP) experts and supports these with complex patent evaluations and patent landscaping projects.
